TMK Energy Limited is a gas exploration company publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: TMK), and is actively engaged in the global energy sector. With a significant 67% interest in the Gurvantes XXXV Project located in the South Gobi Basin of Mongolia, and a 20% interest in the Talisman Deep Project, which encompasses the Napoleon Structure located in the Barrow-Dampier Sub-basin, TMK continues to solidify its position in the industry.
TMK’s flagship project, the Gurvantes XXXV Project, a comprehensive Coal Seam Gas (CSG) exploration initiative covering an expansive area of approximately 8,400 km2 in the South Gobi basin of Mongolia, boasts an array of distinct features. These include the presence of multiple extensively thick, top-quality, bituminous rank coal seams, which not only surface across the area but also extend along an impressive east-west strike, spanning approximately 150km. The Project area also includes six active coal mining operations, along with twenty-six coal mining leases and a multitude of coal exploration licenses, which combined have defined a very large coal resource.
TMK prides itself on its 2022 Exploration Program, the results of which delivered a 1.2 Trillion Cubic Feet (TCF) Contingent Resource (2C) of gas being certified for the Project, making the Gurvantes XXXV Project, the largest Contingent Gas Resource in Mongolia.

The 2022 Exploration Program delivered a 1.2 Trillion Cubic Feet (TCF) Contingent Resource (2C) of gas certified for the Project, making it the largest Contingent Resource in Mongolia.

Napoleon
TMK owns 20% of the Talisman Deep Project, which contains the Napoleon structure which is located in WA-8-L below Talisman in the Barrow-Dampier Sub-basin.

Mongolia is experiencing a significant political push to transition its energy sector to cleaner alternatives, with a notable governmental ambition to foster the growth of eco-friendly energy production. This includes a drive to cultivate the natural gas industry, aiming to minimise pollution while addressing concerns related to energy security, dependability, and autonomy.
Energy Security
Mongolia currently imports all of its gas products resulting in significant issues around energy security and reliability, and additionally leaving significant growth potential for local production.
